No stain / natural finish policy
True hardwoods are known for their natural beauty, in both unique grain patterns and their vibrant colors. Unless specified we use a clear water based low VOC finish that highlights the natural beauty of our high quality midwest hardwoods, while providing excellent durability.
Walnut, Cherry and Maple aren’t just colors, they are the tree. Every tree has its own unique character and every species its own color, look and feel, stains aren’t needed as our midwest hardwoods are stunning on their own

At Oriole Studio we bring heritage quality to modern furniture. In place of using particle board and soft woods like pine we carefully select strong Midwest hardwoods such as walnut, cherry and maple known for their natural beauty and lasting durability.
After years of trying different finishes, we now use an extremely durable water based, low voc, finish that is better for the environment, your home and your furniture.
